HOW TO PLAY

Find nine words of different lengths to cover 63 of 64 squares. Make one word of each length 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.

Start anywhere on the 8×8 grid. Tap letters or drag a path, moving up, down, left or right. A square can be used only once, and all four corners are playable.

Press NEXT WORD to bank a valid word. It fills the slot for its length and earns one point per letter. That length and its squares are then unavailable until you press the word’s REMOVE button, which releases the squares and subtracts the points.

Higher is better. A perfect score is 63: all nine word lengths found, with one square left over. Your words and unused square need not be the same as in the intended solution.

Tap an earlier letter in your current path to backtrack, or press CLEAR WORD to clear all currently selected squares.

END GAME accepts a current valid word, if any, then shows the game result by brightening any paths, graying any unused letters, and displaying the final score. Finding all nine words for 63 points ends the game automatically. COPY FOR POSTING copies your final score and a row of green and yellow squares showing which word lengths you found. SHOW SOLUTION reveals the intended solution immediately; BACK TO GAME returns to your current progress. RESTART clears all progress in the game and starts over with the current grid.

DAILY GAME shows the puzzle for your local date, shared by everyone on that date. NEW GAME creates a random puzzle. SAVE GAME downloads the grid and solution as a text file.
